The Giro has started: Albanese the best of ours in the day of Ganna

The news is that the great adventure has begun. The Turin time trial, which saw Filippo Ganna triumph (10″ ahead of Affini, 13″ ahead of Foss) and wear the first Pink Jersey, kicked off the 104th edition of the Giro d’Italia. At the starting tape, fierce and full of desire to leave their mark, the eight bishops of EOLO-KOMETA. Of course, this was not the right stage for the men in blue: a short and fast time trial, without specialists in the team, the goal was to break the ice and get into the reality of this race. In front of the eyes of the patron of Eolo, Luca Spada, arrived not to miss the debut of his team, our bishops have defended themselves and have sharpened their weapons in view of the next stages when they will certainly give battle.

Best of ours was Vincenzo Albanese, arrived at 52″ from Ganna. Then Christian (1′ 01″) and Marton Dina (1′ 13″). Tomorrow, a stage suitable for sprinters: it starts from Stupinigi and arrives in Novara. And for ours, the hunting to a dream called “stage victory” is open.

I congratulate Ganna who did a great test, for us from tomorrow begins the real Giro: we must be seen, aim for the maximum, look for a victory that would be really great for us.
