Mattia Frapporti
Biography
The Italian rider has been a professional since 2017 and for the last four seasons he has remained in the Androni Giocattoli structure. In a sport where historically the presence of brothers or family members has not been at all strange, Mattia becomes a paradigmatic case: his older brothers Marco (1985) and Simona (1988) are also professional runners. Although born in Gavardo, Mattia lives with his partner a little further north, on Idro, by the lake of the same name. In his spare time Mattia, who is a qualified industrial machine operator, enjoys playing with the Xbox. But he especially enjoys photography, a hobby that has grown in popularity in recent years. During the confinement he improved his skills in the handling of a drone with which he likes to take panoramic pictures. Mattia has not yet been able to fulfil his dream of making his debut in the Giro d’Italia, a race he loves, but he has been able to shine in a World Tour event of the Strade Bianche’s demands, where he was the protagonist of the great escape of the 2017 edition.
