Alberto Contador Foundation sends two cyclists to Omega Pharma’s ‘training talent’

Fernando Barceló, from the Flex-Junior team, and Iosu Angoitia, from the Specialized Sub-23, have been invited to participate in the ‘training talent’ organized each year by Omega Pharma-Quick Step with a group of riders chosen among the more promising young from the world squad.

Barceló and Angoitia will be the only representatives of the Spanish peloton and follow the path opened last year by Álvaro Cuadros, invited to participate at the same stage and that this season has been signed by Etixx, subsidiary team from Omega Pharma.

“That Omega has been re-set in two of our riders”, said Fran Contador, manager of the Foundation, “means that we do things right and that we are the reference team in Spain for them. This collaboration is very important because it indicates that in Europe training work we are doing with young people is very valued and that our riders do not go unnoticed”.

Fernando Barceló and Iosu Angoitia will be in Belgium from day 1 to 4 June, where they will share a few days of training and working with riders and technicians from Omega Pharma-Quick Step, as well as the other cyclists invited to this ‘training talent’, which is sure to be a great experience for all participants.
