74º Trofeo Piva: Col San Martino – Col San Martino (179,1 km)

Andrea Montoli, twenty-first, was the first classified rider of the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team U23 in an edition of the Trofeo Piva in which the victory came from a group that was configured and selected in the final part, a victory that went to Giacomo Villa (Biesse-Carrera). Luca Bagnara and Gabriele Raccagni also finished on time for the blue team, always attentive to all situations in a race that for many kilometres had a breakaway leading the race.

Fran Muñoz, who was very active throughout the race, could not be in the vanguard. A fall with one lap to go left the Asturian from Mataró unable to fight for the victory when he was in a good position to do so. “Even so, I take a very positive balance, the sensations were really very good”, said Muñoz.
