The Fundación Alberto Contador and Elmec Informatica seal a technological alliance to accelerate innovation in cycling.
The Italian computer company and the three sports teams linked to the Foundation, with the continental Kometa Cycling Team led by cyclist champion Ivan Basso at the front, announce a technological partnership for the whole of 2019 in which innovative experiments in the world of cycling and new tools for digital collaboration between companies will be launched.
The cooperation between the company and the cycling team will be divided into two areas: on the one hand, research and development of new technologies for sport; on the other, security and privacy applications in the medical and sports fields.
The second project of work focuses on the implementation of a platform for the safe management and sharing of all data, even the most sensitive, such as information on the health of athletes. Information which, especially in the light of the new European Data Protection Regulation, must be stored in traceable, certified and safe environments.
“We are proud to put ourselves at the disposal of a young and innovative sports project such as that of the Contador Foundation. To be able to collaborate with technological solutions that improve the experience of sport and the squad is for us the best way to make a team”, explains Cora Scandroglio, Marketing Director of Elmec Informatica.
