Ain Bugey Valromey Tour 2022
From 13 to 17 July
The 34th edition of the French race presents a route of five stages in line where the climbs in the Jura Massif will have their special protagonism in both the third and the fourth day. The Col du Seillonnaz and the Coll de Porte in the middle of Friday’s stage. Corlier, Pisseloup, Cuvillat and the Col de Richemont on a complicated day on Saturday. And for Sunday a no less easy weekend with four first category passes: Richemont, Cuvillat, La Rochette and La Velle Lèbe.
The route is tough, as usual in this Tour de l’Ain in the junior category, which brings together the big teams and the great riders of the category. There are 29 teams from France, Belgium, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Denmark, Scotland, Austria, Slovenia, Norway, Italy and Spain.
The EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team is one of the two Iberian teams in the competition, together with Drone-Hopper-GSport-Teika. The blue squad, managed here by Ángel Serrano, goes with a ‘six’ composed by two riders of first year, Joan Cadena and Alem Herráiz, and four of second year, Nil Aguilera, Álex García, César Pérez and David Puente.

Stage 1 (13 July): Culoz – Belley (104,3 km).
Stage 2 (14 July): Saint-Victor-de-Morestel – Morestel (98,2 km).
Stage 3 (15 July): Loyettes – Amberieu-en-Bugey (94,1 km).
Stage 4 (16 July): Izernore – Injoux-Genissiat (93,8 km).
Stage 5 (17 July): Artemare – Plateau Hauteville (102,4 km).
