Fernando Tercero

Successful on the bike, studious off the bike, Fernando has completed his university studies in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. A brave and offensive climber, he has found his place in cycling with great performances in the toughest races in Italy and France. At Fernando’s house, the television broadcast of the Tour de France after lunch was an unavoidable appointment. It was there that he developed a passion for cycling that, little by little, encouraged him to try his hand at the sport. At the age of ten he joined a cycling club in Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real), where he began to compete. He liked the experience and since then he has not stopped competing. The victory in the Volta Galicia 2022 decided his jump to the first team of the Alberto Contador Foundation. In his first year as a professional, he has shown his power in the hardest days with a valuable learning experience. He is one of the big bets for the future of Polti Kometa, with margin for growth and the seriousness and dedication that professional cycling requires. Fernando’s favourite food is pizza and a perfect holiday, in the mountains, in the Alps. He has a pet dog, a German shepherd named Toby. Fernando’s dream is to win a stage in a Grand Tour.
