Samuele Rivi

Pro team

One of the team’s young riders, he has shown himself off in his two pro seasons thanks to his pugnacity: in the 2021 Giro d’Italia he was one of the riders who rode the most kilometers in a breakaway, on the attack, and in 2022 he was also often seen at the front of the peloton. Rivi is a great lover of the mountains, which is one of the reasons he loves living in his Trentino-Adige region. He enjoys cycling, but he also enjoys walking, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, or even climbing. Dizzying were some of his photos on the Via Ferrata delle Aquile, not far from the town of Andalo. Rivi’s origins, however, are tied to soccer, a sport he played in his childhood. The son of a railroad employee and a teacher, he has an older brother and studied Administration, Finance and Marketing. Among his favorite runners is Bradley Wiggins. And among other hobbies, video games. He loves pasta with truffles, and his fondest cycling-related memory is his first World Tour race (Strade Bianche 2021). “Knowing that I will be here again next year is wonderful: it was not a given, and I thank everyone for the trust that I will try to repay. How? By trying to make myself available to the team, to go on a breakaway when asked, and maybe take some satisfaction because I would like to win a race. I’m happy to find all my teammates and all the guys on the staff with whom a wonderful relationship has been established, I can’t wait to start again: see you on the road.”
