40º Trofeo Sportivi Briga
Briga Novarese – Briga / Salita di San Colombano (176 km)

Time for an event in the Italian calendar in which it was already present in 2022 and that repeats the route with a demanding and hilly finish in which most likely the victory will end up being elucidated. The Trofeo Sportivi Briga is back and its ascent returns, almost two kilometres with maximum ramps of 15%, to the surroundings of the oratory of San Colombano.

The U23 structure of the Contador Foundation comes with an eminently Italian team that will be composed of Edoardo Alleva, Luca Bagnara, Gabriele Bessega, Tommaso Bessega, Andrea Montoli and Gabriele Raccagni. Both Alleva and Montoli were already present last year in the colours of EOLO-KOMETA.

The Trofeo Sportivi Briga is contested on a semi-urban circuit of just over fourteen kilometres with the town of Briga Novarese as the centrepiece. This is a very fast part of the race where there is a lot of movement and where it is usual to look for the breakaway with a view to the final climb to San Colombano. The final climb is around a kilometre and a half with an average of around 8%.
