The pandemic put the brakes on many things in its surprising and virulent irruption into the normal day-to-day life of cycling at all levels. Many races stopped and, after this halt, some have taken a little longer to return. That happened in 2019 and Rodríguez nowadays is professional, he competes in the WorldTour, day by day he continues showing his great level and a few weeks ago he has achieved a stage victory in the Itzulia.

Joan Cadena, Pedro García, César Pérez, Balasz Pollner, Iván Polo and Manuel Sanroma, four first year U19 riders and two second year riders, make up the ‘sextet’ with which the youth structure of the Contador Foundation will take part. The secod race outside Spain after Volta ao Loulé. Facing a route that starts with an individual time trial and will continue with two ‘repecheras’ stages in which the pace and the alternatives, depending on how the weather evolves or if the wind appears, will make the development much harder.
