Giro di Sicilia
1st stage: Milazzo-Bagheria (199 km)

The colors, at first glance careless, can be confusing: it happens, if you are lucky enough to go to Sicily in spring. The blue of the sea mixes with the blue of the sky, almost as if they were one, while in between come brushstrokes of white and green given by the orange trees in bloom. You don’t know where to look, for the fear of missing something beautiful: and from tomorrow to Friday, there will be something more to lay your eyes on.

It starts with the Giro di Sicilia, a beautiful race in a beautiful region, a race that represents a further step towards the Giro d’Italia, a race in which EOLO-KOMETA wants to show off exactly as it did in the last edition, with that victory grazed by Vincenzo Albanese and escaped for a breath…

It will be an edition to be seen, that will live its queen day in the last stage that on Friday will see the group climb Mount Etna that will decide, from the height of its power, who will win this race. A year ago to triumph was the man of the house, Vincenzo Nibali, able to beat everyone in a last stage in which he made a wonderful figure even our Lorenzo Fortunato. And this year? We are here, and we have so much desire to put us in show…

And to present this Giro di Sicilia, it could only be him: Biagio Conte, our DS, Sicilian and ready to lead the team together with Stefano Zanatta on the roads of his home. “In my opinion we have a chance to do some good results, we know it well and we all hope so. It will be a beautiful and important race: we’re getting closer and closer to the Giro d’Italia, and also the guys know that every day counts a lot. For me, running here is always beautiful: it’s my home, and I’m always happy to come back home”.
