The region of O Barbanza examines the form of its U19 structure

II Challenge Volta o Barbanza
1-2 abril

The second edition of the Challenge Volta ao Braganza receives the U19 team of the Contador Foundation this next weekend, an EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team U19 that will travel with Gerard Cano, Miguel Domínguez, Balint Feldhoffer, Héctor García, Iván Loaisa, Balazs Pollner, Manuel Sanroma, The race in A Coruña, that comes to add to the dynamization of this tourist region, is organized by the Club Ciclista Barbanza and in his first year was won by the Portuguese Antonio Morgado.

The race proposes two very similar routes where the particular Galician geography, especially in this enclave of the nascent Rias Baixas, and the usual winding and twisty character of its routes will provide a high level scenario. The Altos de Paradauga and Cruz de Abelán will mark the selection on the first day and the climb to Cruceiro de Moldes, which is faced by two slopes, will play this role on Sunday.

Balint Feldhoffer: “I feel good, I still feel the weekend’s races and the whole travel thing in my legs. I honestly don’t know much about this race, it will be my first time racing in Galicia, but I have high hopes for this weekend. I’m confident that as a team we can have a good race and achieve good results, why not think about a podium and maybe even a win, you have to have ambition”.

Miguel Domínguez: “Both stages seem to be quite hilly, with a particularly tough climb in the second one just before the finish. We will try to work as well as in the other races to be able to achieve a good result both on each day and in the final general classification”.

Stage 1 (1st April): Rianxo – Rianxo (88.9 km).

Stage 2 (2nd April): Ribeira – Ribeira (89.6 km).
