The U19 team, facing two fronts: the first block of the Trofeo Cabedo and two new races in Béjar and Guijuelo

Saturday 4 march | XII Trofeo Castillo de Onda:Onda-Onda (80 km) | Trofeo Ayuntamiento de Béjar (86 km)
Sunday 5 march | XXXV Trofeo Entrada de Toros y Caballos: Segorbe – Segorbe (94,6 km) | Trofeo Ayuntamiento de Guijuelo (92,5 km)

Weekend full of activity for the U19 structure of the Fundación Contador, with a double competitive front for his team. The first two races of the Víctor Cabedo Trophy and two new races in Salamanca will count these next Saturday and Sunday with the presence of the youngest riders of the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team.

In terms of relevance and tradition, the Trofeo Víctor Cabedo shines with its own light. The race is held on two different weekends and brings together under the same umbrella several trophies organised by the Club Ciclista Sepelaco and the Unión Ciclista Alto Palancia. Its eleventh edition proposes for the first weekend the races of Onda and Segorbe. The geography of the Province of Castellón is always broken and demanding, and the Trofeo Entrada de Toros y Caballos on Sunday will be the hardest day of the event.

For this commitment the director Gorka Beloki has arranged the participation of Iker Díaz, Samuel Flórez, Pablo Leno, Álvar Martín, Balazs Pollner, Hugo Pradas and Manuel Sanroma.

The Trofeo Ayuntamiento de Béjar, on Saturday, and the Trofeo Ayuntamiento de Guijuelo, both organised by the Club Deportivo Moisés Dueñas de Béjar in collaboration with the two town councils, are the other competitive focus of the squad, two important challenges in which several of the riders of the squad will start their season.

Saturday’s race, in Béjar, is the first of the five races of the 2023 edition of the Castilla y León Cup in the junior category. The route features a hilly terrain typical of the landscapes of the Sierra de Béjar region, with a couple of mountain passes, the ascent to Tranco del Diablo in the last five kilometres, and a ride through more windy areas before the finish in the town’s main square. For Sunday, similar conditions with, possibly, greater difficulty in terms of altitude.

Gerard Cano, Daniel Díaz, Miguel Domínguez, Balint Feldhoffer, Héctor García, Mario Gómez and Iván Loaisa, four riders of first year in the category and three of second year, compose the expedition of eight riders with which the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team will take part.
