Miguel Ángel Aguilera conquistó hoy en Amorebieta la primera victoria del equipo Specialized-Fundación Alberto Contador Sub 23, inaugurando también su propio palmarés en su segundo año en la categoría.
Aguilera, de 19 años y nacido en Granada, llegó al nuevo Specialized-Fundación Alberto Contador procedente del Lizarte y hoy ha logrado imponerse en el sprint a sus tres compañeros de fuga, que saltaron en el km 80 de una carrera de 109 kilómetros, cuyo punto fuerte eran las dos subidas a Montecalvo.
Este triunfo confirma el buen inicio de temporada de los jóvenes corredores del Specialized-Sub 23, tal como también demostró recientemente Juan Camacho con una segunda posición en el Memorial Sanroma.
Junto a Aguilera tomaron la salida Elías Ortiz, David Calmaestra, Óscar Linares y Pablo Noriega, mientras que el resto de los corredores disponibles se alinearon en el Valenciaga. Allí tomaron la salida Juan Antonio López, Enric Mas, Juan Camacho, David Casillas, Iosu Angoitia, Peio Olaberria y Diego Noriega.
Los hombres de José Luis de Santos y Rafa Díaz Justo, a pesar de su juventud y encontrarse frente a lo mejor del pelotón amateur, se mostraron muy combativos en el Memorial Valenciaga, donde estuvieron presentes en todos los cortes, en especial en la fuga más importante de la jornada, de 21 corredores, entre los cuales se metieron Casillas, Olaberria y Diego Noriega, aunque finalmente fueron absorbidos por el grupo. Finalmente, el primer clasificado del equipo fue Enric Mas, decimonoveno.
